Learning Internet Marketing With Tutorials
Trying to start a Home Business can be a daunting task. As a “Newbie” you are considered to be the target audience for experienced marketers within the “Home Business” or “make money online” niche and as a result of this fact, you will if you have been searching for a while, be in no doubt that whenever you try to ask for some direction, you get bombarded with offers of “Join this opportunity” or “Buy this tool” all of which cost money and all come with promises of generating an income for you.
Sadly, most of these offers show only a small part of the puzzle that is Internet marketing and you soon begin to
lose heart as you spend even more money following the recommendations of these marketers.
One of the safest ways to start, is by using Internet Marketing Tutorials which show you how to make money without spending money.
But first, you need to ask yourself a couple of questions;
• Do I have the resolve
Many times throughout your journey to success, you will find yourself asking why you are not seeing results. Your
answer must be, “because I am still learning and it takes time”.Success will come, but it does require some work on your part. You need the resolve to see it through.
• Do I have the ability to focus on a project
Internet marketers probably get more emails than anyone else on the Internet – partly due to joining various lists
when checking out different offers or new product launches and also as they build up a rapport with their customers they get even more. The problem here is that very often you can easily become sidetracked when exploring these. You need to remain focussed and not become distracted during any project you happen to be working on at the time.
These two basic questions may at first seem trivial, but they do play an important part in you making a success of
your business as you will see as you progress.
Choosing a tutorial to follow.
The best way of finding a tutorial is obviously by recommendation from someone you know who has used it.
Failing that it is pretty much trial and error. But if you are just starting out, you should only follow tutorials that don’t try to get you to purchase other tools. They are out there you just need to find them.
Once you have chosen your tutorial, you should then start to put your plan into action…..become an action taker.
You must then focus on that one tutorial until completion following each lesson as you go. It won’t be long before
you start to see success and when you do, you can then rinse and repeat to duplicate your success, or move onto
another path with another tutorial.
Make sure you remain focussed on the project in hand until you have seen it through to a satisfactory conclusion.
Once you have reached your initial goal, moving on to a specific Traffic Generation course is a good step as on
completion of this particular training, you will be able to drive unlimited amounts of traffic to your website or
sales page.
Now with your new and vast experience, you are in a very strong position to take on the challenge of high ticket
sales or maybe even become an authority and promote yourself as such offering your services to other businesses.
You just need the right tutorials, a desire to succeed and remain focussed at all times.
Wishing you great success.

It is often said, by many search engine optimisation experts, that content is king. Others proclaim that a text linking strategy is king. The simple fact is, if you are to be successful in your site promotion efforts, all aspects of Search Engine Marketing (SEM) are essential to the mix.
SEM consists of all the elements that are required to successfully promote a website; with the objective being to improve a website’s ranking on Google, Yahoo and MSN and other major search engines. These elements may be classified as:
1) On-page optimisation (all the techniques involved in manipulating page content).
2) Off-page optimisation (all the techniques involved in website promotion).
A good way to think of it is: on-page optimisation is used to promote your product, service or information. Whereas off-page optimisation is used to promote your website.
On Page Optimisation
Site Readiness – W3C Compliance:
Search engine robots do not like broken HTML code. Your rankings will suffer if your pages do not conform to World Wide Web (W3C) standards. A free online HTML validation service is available at: The W3C Markup Validation Service.
Search engines like Google now check CSS code, this must be validated also. A tool for this is available at: The W3C CSS Validation Service.
Site Readiness – Broken Links:
It should be obvious, but is often overlooked, that broken links are a problem in terms of search engine optimisation. Clearly, if the search engine robot cannot finish spidering your site, due to broken links, then some pages will not be indexed. A tool for checking broken links can be found at: W3C Link Checker.
Site Readiness – Keyword Research:
Analyzing your niche market, or business sector, allows you to create an appropriate set of targeted keywords (the most obvious ones are not necessarily the best). A free keyword tool can be downloaded from: Good Keywords – Find the best keywords for your web pages..
Page optimisation – Copywriting
Once you have decided on the appropriate keywords/key phrases for each page, you need to work these keywords into the visible text on each page to be optimised. Remember that you are writing for users, not search engines, and the text must look natural.
Page optimisation – HTML Tag Optimisation
All the appropriate HTML tags on each page should be optimised for best effect. These include:
1) Title tag.
2) Meta keyword tag.
3) Meta description tag.
4) Header tags.
Also, don’t forget the image alt tags. And very importantly the link text in your anchor tags.
Page optimisation – Build content.
Keep adding new content to your website. If necessary publish articles and RSS feeds. Google loves new content.
Off Page Optimisation
Once you have finished the on-page optimisation, your attention needs to be focused on off-page optimisation. The essential components of off-page optimisation are:
1) Link building – begin a reciprocal and one way linking strategy.
2) Directory listings – get listed in human edited directories like Dmoz.
3) Article writing – a superb way to generate one way links.
4) Blog contributions – yet another opportunity for one way links.
5) Press releases – announce your presence to the world. More one way links.
Conclusion
All of the above are essential to a successful site promotion campaign. If you wish to improve your Google ranking (the other search engines will follow), do not neglect one area in favour of another. Do it correctly. Do it all. Then watch your rankings soar.
Three Questions You Must Ask Before Working From Home
By: Nazir Daud12
More people are choosing to work from home due to increased redundancies and less job security. However, whilst the idea may, in theory, sound very appealing, there are three important questions which you will need to consider very seriously.
Working from home is not for everyone, and many people who decide to embark on such a career do not last very long. It can be a tough career choice, and not everyone can make a success of it. The following questions should be answered honestly; since they could seriously impact upon the longevity of a home based business, as well as your own health, happiness and financial security.
Why do you want to work from home? Everyone has their own reasons, but often the declared reasons are not the same as the real reasons. For some people it may be that they have experienced redundancy, or are facing increasing cuts at work which make redundancy imminent, and that the idea of becoming self employed is more attractive.
Certainly you aren’t going to get a nasty letter from your boss, or be called in to a meeting to hear bad news. However, this doesn’t in any way imply that job security is any better. Yes, you will be in control of your career, of your earnings and of your prospects, but a home business faces the same challenges as any other enterprise.
Working from home simply allows you to change your point of view, reduce your costs and be more in control of your life. If job security is your concern or your motivation, be under no illusion that working from home is not any more secure – it just puts you in the driving seat.
How will you work from home? Again, this might seem an obvious question. Almost certainly you will use your computer for most of the time, but this in itself may prove to be troublesome. Where is your computer based, for example? If it is in the living room, or a busy area of the house which sees children or family gathered, playing, chatting or watching television, then you may find it extremely difficult to concentrate on business in such surroundings.
You may have been able to concentrate on writing a CV, writing a letter, sending and receiving emails or looking information up on the internet, but being able to concentrate on such tasks for a few minutes at a time, when there is relatively little pressure can be easy. Have you considered how you would cope under such circumstances if you had to concentrate for eight hours a day, five days a week? You could easily find yourself struggling to run your business effectively because you are unable to concentrate or separate from your family.
Which hours will you choose to work? One of the benefits of working from home is that you can work flexible hours. If you have children then you may find that working whilst they are at school ideal. But have you considered how you’ll manage during the long school holidays? With almost a third of the year seeing your children at home, this could seriously upset any long term plans or earnings calculations which you have made.
Working from home can be very challenging – it requires rigorous self discipline. Having the television close by, the temptation to pop out for a walk when it is sunny, or to spring clean the house and get some of those little DIY jobs done will all seem to be very much more appealing than sitting at your computer for hours at a time.
Although many people work at home and are successful, it is not for everybody. Asking these three important questions is a start, and being honest with yourself is critical.

Advertiser Account Registration
It’s everywhere. From blogs to newspapers to books at Barnes and Noble. And it’s loud. Tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet.
It’s Twitter. And whether you like it or not (yet) it’s going to be around in some form or another for a long time I suspect. Might as well get used to it, right?
A couple of months ago I was in the same boat many of you might be in right now, wondering whether all this Twitter madness was of any use to me at all or whether it was just a bunch of noise, literally. But I started to hear a lot of Twitter related stories and talked to people that I personally know who were using it in ways that I hadn’t considered before.
And the lightbulb finally went off for me. There was some serious power in Twitter! People were not only using Twitter to make connections and network with others, they were making money too. Some of them making LOTS of it as I came to find out.
The biggest thing that stood out for me is this…
From a marketing perspective, Twitter = Listbuilding. Plain and simple. Proper listbuilding is all about building a list AND building relationships with the people on that list. And in many cases the people I was talking to confided in me that their Twitter contacts were more responsive than even their e-mail lists were. As a long time email marketer, I was pretty shocked. But I started doing research and I discovered several truths that I want to share with you.
There’s a right way and a wrong way to go about using Twitter, and some rules of thumb to keep in mind along the way. But there are several crucial steps you’ll want to take note of.
Here’s how this works:
- Get followers. Sounds simple right? But there’s a lot of stuff out there that will make you think you can just automate the process and be done with it. BEWARE, Twitter is watching. If you do it wrong, you’re sunk. Account Suspended. Tweet no more.
- Build a relationship with your followers. Yes, that’s right, you’re going to need to start talking with your followers! You want to treat them like you would anyone you might meet at any other social gathering, stipulating that you’re not at a professional wrestling event and everyone is already yelling at one another.
- Get them Clicking & ReTweeting. Once you build that relationship with them you want to encourage (gently) them to start clicking links you provide with items of interest and most of all to get them Retweeting your posts. Why? Because the *real* power of Twitter is NOT in your own list of followers. Nope. The real power is in the power of the exponent. If you give things of value to the Twitterverse, the Twitterverse will return the favor… Tenfold.
- Last but not least. You want to make money right? Of course you do. Once you’ve completed steps one through three, there are a ton of ways that you can start to monetize your followers…their followers and their followers followers. But also beware: Twitter spam is on the rise and people are becoming wary of anyone who just jumps into the pool and starts shouting Marco Polo at the top of their lungs. You have to be very careful to craft your Tweets so that people are still getting maximum value from you.
Four seemingly simple steps, and they’re not rocket science, but they do take some finesse and time to do properly. If you’d like to learn more about how to properly implement these four steps, I welcome you to join me and my Coup De Twitter system. It will teach you how to do Twitter the RIGHT way as well as 7 easy ways to make money with it plus a handful of advanced tactics as well. Please visit Coup de Twitter to watch a free 35 minute video that I have prepared for you (no opt-in required).

Do you have your own website? If so, getting high quality targeted visitors to your site is probably your number one priority. One of the best ways to get targeted visitors is to use Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
SEO is the process of choosing the best keywords for your website, optimizing the pages on your website for your chosen keywords and then increasing your search engine ranking by building high quality links back to your website. Many people have the impression that SEO is a complex and highly technical task as the SEO manuals on the market are often hundreds of pages long and SEO professionals can charge thousands of dollars to optimize your website.
The brand new 3 Steps to Search Engine Success guide proves that you don’t have to be a techie or a marketing whiz to get your website to the top of the search engines. This refreshing SEO guide explains everything you need to know to get a good ranking in plain English
The guide comes in PDF format and at just over 50 pages long you won’t find yourself getting lost in lots of tiny detail and technical jargon. In the guide, the author Suzanne Morrison explains how you can get your existing website or a brand new website on the first page of Google.
The first chapter of the book explains exactly what SEO is and how it works. It then goes on to cover keyword research – how to find good keywords from your website using free keyword research tools and how to decide which keywords are the best ones for your website. Next, you get a step by step guide on how to optimize your website for the search engines. You will see exactly where you need to put your keywords on the page to get a good ranking. Finally, the third step of the 3 Steps to Search Engine Success eBook explains how to easily get good backlinks to your website and includes a few methods that most webmasters don’t even know about!
As well as covering the three main steps of SEO, the book tells you how you can easily monitor your progress, check your visitor stats and compare yourself against your competitors. There is also a good section describing all the things that you should AVOID if you want to get a good search engine rank. Knowing exactly what to avoid doing in SEO is important as you don’t want to end up with your website being banned from the search engines, so it is good to see a whole section dedicated to these pitfalls!
Overall, the book is straightforward and easy to read and understand, yet still manages to cover all the search engine optimization essentials. There are screenshots and examples throughout the ebook, which make it easier to follow than the majority of SEO guides on the market.

Backlinks
Learn The Importance of Backlinks
If you have ever visited an Internet Marketing forum such as the acclaimed Warrior Forum, you will undoubtedly have seen a multitude of topics centered around backlinks.
What are backlinks?
Basically, backlinks are what every Internet Marketer strives to get to their website. A backlink is a link to your website from another website and when search engines such as Google see these backlinks they recognise that your website is offering good enough content for other websites to to link to yours and so reward you with recognition in the form of page ranking in their search engines. The more more backlinks you have, the higher ranking you will achieve.
There are varying degrees of strength of backlinks in as much as if you get a backlink from a website which has a page rank of pr4 for example, it will be a much stronger link than one coming from a pr1 site. So it is important to get as many high pr backlinks as possible.
Similarly, a one way link, ie a link from another website to yours without a link from your website to theirs, has more strength than a reciprocal link.
There are numerous ways in which you get backlinks, the most common of which is article marketing where you leave a link to your website in your resource box or signature file. If a publisher likes your article and publishes it on their website or blog, you will get a backlink.
Similarly, blog commenting (commenting on other blogs) and forum posting will generate backlinks.
If article marketing etc. is something you feel you would struggle with, then their are other ways to generate backlinks, one of which I personally use and absolutely swear by.

Blogging
Having a blog is considered by many in Internet Marketing to be an essential element
So what is a blog?
A blog (a contraction of the term “weblog”) is a type of website, usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video. Entries are commonly displayed in reverse-chronological order. “Blog” can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.
Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, Web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs.
Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art, photographs, sketches, videos, music, and audio. Micro-blogging is another type of blogging, featuring very short posts. The most common being Twitter.
The personal blog, an ongoing diary or commentary by an individual, is the traditional, most common blog. Personal bloggers usually take pride in their blog posts, even if their blog is never read by anyone but them.
Blogs often become more than a way to just communicate; they become a way to reflect on life or works of art. Blogging can have a sentimental quality. Few personal blogs rise to fame and the mainstream, but some personal blogs quickly garner an extensive following.
A type of personal blog is referred to as “microblogging,” which is extremely detailed blogging as it seeks to capture a moment in time.
Sites, such as Twitter, allow bloggers to share thoughts and feelings instantaneously with friends and family and is much faster than e-mailing or writing. Twitter is also considered an essential element within Internet Marketing as you can very quickly build up a list of thousands of followers to your blog posts (tweets).
Although relatively new, Internet Marketers very quckly realised they have a captive audience within Twitter to whom they can market to. Intigration of Twitter into a blog is a very simple process which can bring in hundreds of visitors to the blog.
Using a blog for Internet Marketing can bring huge financial rewards to the blogger.
Using a powerful application such as Wordpress and having it hosted with your own domain name (website address) means you can firstly tailor the blog to your preferences, usually by selecting an appropriate theme and adding various plugins of which there are hundreds available to suit various applications. Once you have the layout and functionality to your liking, you can then monetize it. By this I mean add affiliate links etc and when anybody makes a purchase you get paid a commision.
If you are to be successful at blogging, then you need to add content of value to your readers who will if they like your content, come back time and time again.
All this may sound a bit daunting to the Newbie and so The Newbie Manuals has written a Free step-by-step guide on how to upload and set up Wordpress.
- Introduction
- How To Choose And Register A Domain Name
- Search For a Domain Name Hosting
- How To Upload Wordpress
- Setting Up Wordpress
- Changing Themes

- Recommended PlugIns
- Pinging Your Blog

Wishing you great success.

Keyword Research
Do you even know what keyword research is?
Keyword research may be something you have read about somewhere or heard talked about, but do you understand the meaning of keyword research?
To help you understand the answer to this question and the importance of effective keyword research, please read on.
In the present economic climate, many more people are turning to the Internet in a bid to earn some sort of an income by joining one of the thousands if not millions of so called “opportunities” available online today.
Sadly, the vast majority of these will fail simply because they did not have the whole picture at the outset and many of these opportunities even claim to give a step by step tutorial on how to achieve their goal.
When joining some of these business opportunities the tutorials they follow generally put the emphasis on getting traffic to their sales page and more often than not, recommend ways in which to generate the traffic.
This usually means a subscription to a paid service. At the very best, some tutorials will recommend article marketing as a means to generate traffic and point people in the direction of paid article submission services.
Most of these paid for services do work of course, if you have done your SEO (search engine optimization) correctly.
Some tutorials will even go so far as telling you the importance of SEO and keyword selection in order to make your business work but they fail to tell you how to go about it.
- So what is the answer?
The truth of the matter is, whichever business opportunity you join or if you simply wish to promote a product or service, if you are just starting out in Internet marketing, you need to learn the basics.
There is nothing wrong of course with setting up your own blog and filling it with affiliate links and generating content…….you will get some visitors and you may get the occasional sale. But if my guess is correct, you don’t just want the occasional sale do you? No of course not! You want loads of sales on a regular basis.
So your very first lesson has to be “Learn about Keyword Research” This is one of the most important factors that many of the aforementioned opportunities neglect to tell you.
Your second lesson should be how to take those keywords and make money with them. SEO or Search Engine Optimization.
Keyword research although essential to success in Internet marketing, is not an exact science but can be very time consuming and tedious and some people may well as a result just give up at this point simply because they do not have the resolve. This is one of the reasons so many people fail in their Internet marketing endeavours.
Knowing how to do proper keyword research is essential to success and as a result, The Newbie Manuals have written an ebook to help you both understand what keyword research is and how to do Effective Keyword Research following a proven step-by-step method utilising free resources.
Wishing you success.
